Meet Dr. Alissa M. Coyne, OD, MS, FAAO, FASOS

Dr. Alissa Coyne earned her undergraduate degree in biobehavioral health from Pennsylvania State University and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. She completed a Primary Care/Ocular Disease residency at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia and holds a master’s degree in pharmacology and toxicology from Michigan State University.

Dr. Coyne is a clinical optometrist and associate professor within the Geisinger Hospital System. She previously served as faculty at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where she taught ocular pharmacology, and ophthalmic lasers and minor surgical procedures.

Her professional interests include ocular disease, emergency eye care, ophthalmic lasers and minor surgical procedures in the primary care setting, and ocular pharmacology.

Dr. Coyne has lectured nationally and internationally and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and the American Society of Optometric Surgeons.
